And - You use ' and ' to combine two similar information together.

eg:- 1) I am healthy and fit.

2) Renu likes pink and blue.

3) Have a wash and dress.

But - You use ' but ' to combine two opposing information together.

eg:- 1) Watching TV is fun, but it is a distraction.

2) Roy is helpful but not tempered.

Or - You use ' or ' to combine two options together .

eg:- 1) Do you want tea or coffee?

2) Would you like chocolate cake or cup cake?
